Visit Boquerón in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico!

Boquerón is a barrio located in the municipality of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. Boquerón covers a total area of 15.88 square miles, of which 12.50 square miles is land and 3.38 square miles is water. It is located on Boquerón Bay, one of the main tourist attractions in the southwestern part of the island.

Boquerón in Puerto Rico is a charming coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant atmosphere, and local culture. La Playa de Boquerón is the main attraction, offering pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters. It’s an excellent spot to relax, take photographs, and soak up the sun.

Just a short drive away, you will find El Combate Beach this beach is known for its unique landscape and laid-back atmosphere. While not in Boquerón, the nearby Cabo Rojo Lighthouse is a historical site with panoramic coastline views. It could be a fascinating place to explore. Boquerón is famous for its seafood. You might want to explore the local eateries and try traditional Puerto Rican dishes. You will also find food vendors in the streets from El Combate and El Poblado in Boquerón.

Since you’re basically in Cabo Rojo, you might want to pay a visit to The Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge. A habitat for several native bird species, including the endangered yellow-shouldered blackbird. The Boquerón State Forest is one of seven state forests managed by the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources.
