Florida is a town and municipality of Puerto Rico located in the karst region north of Ciales, south of Barceloneta, east of Arecibo, and west of Manatí. It was founded in 1971, making it the youngest municipality in Puerto Rico.
It has one barrio called Florida Adentro and two other subdivisions: Florida Zona Urbana and Pajonal comunidad. It is also known as the “Land of the Enchanted River”, the “Land of the Mogotes” and the “Town of the Cayenalisa Pineapple”. According to the 2020 census, it had a population of 11,692 people.
