Bayamón is a city and municipality of Puerto Rico that is located in the northern coastal valley, north of Aguas Buenas and Comerío; south of Toa Baja and Cataño; west of Guaynabo; and east of Toa Alta and Naranjito. The town of Bayamón is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area and the second most populous municipality in both the metropolitan area and Puerto Rico. Bayamón is known for its museums, family attractions, sports facilities, and pork rinds. It also has a rich history and culture, as it was founded by Spanish colonists in 1772 and was the site of a slave revolt led by Marcos Xiorro in 1821.

Bayamón has 12 barrios (neighborhoods) and a downtown area called Bayamón Pueblo.

It is part of the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area and the second most populous municipality in both the metropolitan area and Puerto Rico. The city is known for its museums, family attractions, and sports facilities. The so-called Pueblo del Chicharrón (“pork rind town”) is the second-most populated town on the Island and connects to nearby communities via the Tren Urbano system. You can find art, culture, history, and heritage at the Museo de Arte de Bayamón, the Manatee Conservation Center, and the Museo Francisco Oller.
